What's New: CSS Product Updates—December 2023

Cloud Storage Security (CSS) is always working to improve our users’ experience and we’re excited to share the following noteworthy improvements to our antivirus and data loss prevention platform: support for Amazon FSx and job monitoring insights.

Critical Console Update

Support for FSx Volumes

CSS' cloud data security platform now supports virus scanning and data classification for Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP volumes.

As announced in December, customers are able to view and scan Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP volumes that reside within the account in which the CSS console is deployed. Volumes can be scanned on-demand or on a scheduled basis using our retro scan model. 

To initiate scanning, navigate to Protection > FSx Volumes in the CSS console. Next, click on the "Actions" button at the top right of the page and configure the scan type and schedule as prompted. Navigate to the Schedules page in the console's main menu to enable the schedule.

Job Monitoring Insights

CSS customers can now leverage a consolidated view of each scan job with information grouped by account, container, results and logs. This improvement relocates previously separate jobs information to one spot in the management console. Details include the number of accounts scanned, total files scanned, infected files, classification matches, errors and more. The information is accessible via the Monitoring > Jobs page in the CSS console. Simply click on the arrow ">" in the first column next to the Job ID in the table and then click on the "Details" button for that job.
